Don’t let the name fool you – while not stuffed to the brim, you do notice the nice mix of flavors without it overpowering the burger. When I had my hubby try this, his reply was “ Oh yeah! - Yield: 4 quarter-pound burgers 1x
- Diet: Gluten Free
Ingredients
- 8 teaspoons any combination of red, green, yellow, and orange bell peppers, finely diced
- 4 tablespoons onion, finely diced
- 4 teaspoons mushrooms, finely diced
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 2 teaspoons seasoning salt
- 1 pound ground beef
Instructions
- Wash and finely dice the peppers, onions, and mushrooms.
- Put veggies in a small saucepan with 4 tablespoons of butter (preferably grass-fed), then add garlic.
- Sauté until onions are clear and veggies are tender. Add seasoning salt.
- Mix the sautéd veggies into ground beef. (Drain the veggies a bit before mixing them into the hamburger.)
- Shape into four patties.
- Once patties are formed, cook over medium heat grill (about 200 degrees) for about 7-8 minutes per side (about medium-well).
Notes
Obviously, this can be modified to your tastes, so add any veggies you think would work well. And if you really wanna snazz these up, add a slice of cheese and some cooked bacon. Bacon makes everything better. And of course, don’t use bread or a bun!
