$3.99 each? Much as I know there will be great information in these magazines, that’s really steep. That’s almost $48 for 12 issues. I’d pay $24 for 12 issues, but not twice that. Yet the iPad app is free? I certainly don’t expect to get something for nothing, but $48 for 12 issues is too high, at least for me.
It’s too bad, because I was really looking forward to getting this magazine in PDF format as I have an old iPad that can’t be upgraded to the required level for the app. Maybe I’ll order an issue here and there, but I was hoping to get a subscription for a reasonable price, especially considering the app is free.
Kathy from Maine:
Your information is wrong.
The iPad APP is free but each issue is $3.99.
We have a great team of leading low carb proponents working hard for you.
Sincerely,
Andrew
Thanks for the info. No, I didn’t know that the app is free, but each issue costs $3.99. I do understand the hard work that goes into these magazines. I’m a technical writer, and trust me that I know the blood, sweat, and tears that go into writing a new edition every month. As I said, I’ll probably order a few here and there, but probably not more than a few.
A big thanks to you and Dana for doing this. We’re all “fighting the good fight” and need to support each other. Thanks for offering this.
I take it all back. I just ordered the April edition, and it’s chock full of great info!!! I was expecting a measly 8 or 10 pages, but it was a full 139 page long!!! I’ll definitely be ordering more issues as they come out.
Thanks for a VERY professional and fact-filled magazine! The layout is beautiful and totally enhances the content. WELL DONE!
Can you tell me if the PDF version can be read on tablets other than the iPad.
Is there anything I need to know before downloading it.
Otherwise I will wait for the kindle/android versions. 🙂
The PDF version can be opened on any device that can open PDF files.
I have viewed the PDF files on a Galaxy Tab 2 by downloading it in Dropbox and opening it in the Kindle and Polaris Office Apps.
I am sure there are other ways to get the PDF to other tablets, I just do not know all the steps to do it.
Sincerely,
Andrew
Maybe I’m just not finding it, but did you stop doing the PDF versions and now are only offering the iTunes/iPad version? I only see through the May edition available as a PDF and you are advertising a “new” October edition but clicking on it just sends me to the iTunes store. Strange as it may seem, not all of us have (or want) an iPad, so I really hope this is not the case. And last I checked, Apple’s marketshare was only 12% of all laptops…there are many of us “non-Apple” users out there, trust me.
Deb:
The other PDFs are being worked on as we speak.
Sincerely,
Andrew
I just paid 3.99 on paypal for a pdf.
Where is it.?
Did you receive an email with download instructions?
Andrew
