Always Have Ice-Cold Water

I have a suggestion for anyone who is drinking lots of water. Don’t throw away your water bottles!

Rinse them out, then fill them about ⅓ of the way full of water and put them in the freezer.

Be sure not to put the top on too tight, water expands as it freezes and the trapped air will need to get out as the water freezes.

When you are ready to go somewhere (work, the park, the store, etc.) grab the bottle out of the freezer and fill it up the rest of the way.

You’ll have ice water while you are out and about.

It’s also great for lunch coolers, the ice keeps the food cold until you are ready to eat it and then you can drink your ice as it melts!

What better way to stay hydrated on your ketogenic, low-carb lifestyle.

Recycle Your Water Bottles

Always make sure to rinse out your water bottles between refills.

Today’s disposable water bottles are not as strong as they were 10 or 20 years ago and you’ll want to eventually replace them.

Better safe than sorry.

We suggest replacing them after every 25-30 refills.

CarbSmart Podcast Episode 23: Refusing Holiday Food and Staying Low-Carb can be tough at first but you can do it to avoid the Food Pushers. The holidays are straight ahead, and with them piles and piles of carby junk, and worse, people nagging you to eat the stuff. Why so many people think that saying things like "But you have to eat it! It's traditional!" and "I worked all afternoon making it just for you" constitutes an expression of holiday goodwill, I have no idea, but sadly this behavior is all too common. You need to think ahead about how to respond to this sort of thing.
