The Paleo Revolution (Infographic) – The New Evolution of Paleo

Here at CarbSmart, we believe that the Paleo diet is the logical next phase of the Low Carb Diet. Many people start a low carb diet in order to lose weight and lessen the effects of high blood pressure, high blood sugar, diabetes, and obesity. When someone starts a low carb diet, their main concern is usually losing weight. They will reduce the amount of carbohydrates they bring into their body as well as transition from consuming mostly sugary foods and drinks, processed foods, starchy vegetables and low-fat foods. The low carb dieter will also start to increase the amount of exercise they perform throughout their often hectic week. All of this combines to making you a healthier person who has given up a lifetime of bad food choices for real food.

One of the main tenets of the Paleo diet is that we eat regular foods and sustain a healthy level of activity. Since the low carb dieter is now doing this after losing a good portion of their excess weight, the Paleo diet helps the low carb dieter sustain a healthier life.

CarbSmart Podcast Episode 23: Refusing Holiday Food and Staying Low-Carb can be tough at first but you can do it to avoid the Food Pushers. The holidays are straight ahead, and with them piles and piles of carby junk, and worse, people nagging you to eat the stuff. Why so many people think that saying things like "But you have to eat it! It's traditional!" and "I worked all afternoon making it just for you" constitutes an expression of holiday goodwill, I have no idea, but sadly this behavior is all too common. You need to think ahead about how to respond to this sort of thing.
