Low Carb Products Without Sugar Alcohols

Here at CarbSmart, we offer a wide variety of tasty sugar-free products for you to eat and enjoy on your low-carb lifestyle. But we also realize that some of the products we sell contain polyols (also called sugar alcohols). Polyols are sugar-free sweeteners – the most common ones are Maltitol, Erythritol, Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysates, Isomalt, Lactitol, Mannitol, Sorbitol, and Xylitol. Polyols can, if consumed in certain amounts, cause unwanted gastric distress for some of our customers.

As a service to those who are sensitive to polyols, we have identified some of those sugar-free products that we carry which contain no sugar alcohol. The following is a partial list of the most popular sugar-free products that DO NOT contain any polyols in them. These are no sugar and NO SUGAR ALCOHOLS foods.

CarbSmart Podcast Episode 23: Refusing Holiday Food and Staying Low-Carb can be tough at first but you can do it to avoid the Food Pushers. The holidays are straight ahead, and with them piles and piles of carby junk, and worse, people nagging you to eat the stuff. Why so many people think that saying things like "But you have to eat it! It's traditional!" and "I worked all afternoon making it just for you" constitutes an expression of holiday goodwill, I have no idea, but sadly this behavior is all too common. You need to think ahead about how to respond to this sort of thing.

  1. Hello andrew. Do you have a list of low carb snacks (sweet) that do not contain any sugar alcohol.
I’ve been looking for something sweet to eat that goes with coffee but can’t tolerate sugar alcohols.
    Thanks
    Sally

  2. I can see the article…but no ‘list’ – I’m confused?

  3. Looking for low-carb, sugar-free recipes without sugar alcohols. My wife has a particular type of hypoglycemia that is affected by all of these. She does very well if she avoids these substances, but the menu is pretty limited. Meat, almond flour, some cheese, eggs. She does pretty well on salad if she sticks to primarily leaf lettuce without much in the way of toppings.

  4. Where is the list?

  5. Where is your list of no sugar and NO SUGAR ALCOHOLS foods? You state it is on this page, but it is nowhere to be seen. Does that mean there are NONE?
