SUSIE T’s NOTES:
This makes a hearty low carb meal that is also low calorie and fairly low fat! This low carb recipe is a great nutritional bargain. If you don’t have time to make the roasted marinara, use a purchased sauce with the lowest amount of carbs you can find. Try to find ones that are soy free!
Each time Fluffy Chix Cook makes Low Carb Meat Base 1 for a recipe I’m using that night, I make an extra recipe of it at the same time. Takes the same amount of time to prep and cook, but the payoff comes when you portion the extra recipe of the meat, cool it down, then package and freeze it for later use.
This low carb recipe takes only minutes to put together from start to finish. I can have a salad made and dinner on the table before a pizza could deliver to the house! How’s that for convenience?
It’s also cheap! I watch for sales, and make this recipe in bulk for the freezer when I find great buys on beef and tomatoes.
