The Think Thin Crunch Chocolate Dipped Mixed Nuts bar is not recommended for induction or ongoing weight loss. Definitely a healthier choice for someone in their maintenance phase of their low carb lifestyle but not for most low carbers. Great nutty flavor but too sweet for regular use. This smaller bar (1.41 oz.) has 10g of protein, 4g of fiber, but 3g of sugar(from brown rice syrup and honey and other ingredients). This gluten free bar has less sugar than most regular protein bars but not like what we are used to in a “typical” lower carb bar. I definitely enjoyed the mix of peanuts, almonds, and cashews but the brown rice syrup and other sugars made it too sweet for me.

I think these bars can help someone closer to goal weight or someone used to having a little sugar in the their diet but I’ll just stick to the Think Thin Low Carb Protein Bars. Not great for a low carb dieter but a great option for someone just reducing their sugar intake.

CarbSmart Podcast Episode 23: Refusing Holiday Food and Staying Low-Carb can be tough at first but you can do it to avoid the Food Pushers. The holidays are straight ahead, and with them piles and piles of carby junk, and worse, people nagging you to eat the stuff. Why so many people think that saying things like "But you have to eat it! It's traditional!" and "I worked all afternoon making it just for you" constitutes an expression of holiday goodwill, I have no idea, but sadly this behavior is all too common. You need to think ahead about how to respond to this sort of thing.
