When I think of tea, I think of iced tea on a hot summer day. To be honest, I’ve never been much of a hot tea person. Despite that, I decided to give Davidson’s Dessert Teas a try. When I drink coffee, I like a little heavy cream and some sweetener, so I did the same with the Davidson’s Vanilla Cream Spice flavor. Not being sure what to expect, I took my tea into the living room, settled down on the sofa and started to read a book. My first sip pleasantly surprised me. It was delicious! The warm tea mixed with the flavor of vanilla and cinnamon was fantastic. As I sipped the tea I found myself relaxing. I know it sounds cliche, but I really did feel the warmth spread through me. I was comfortable, relaxed and enjoyed my tea very much. It certainly felt indulgent. And who wouldn’t enjoy a little something warm and sweet that only contains 3 calories and 0 carbs? Even with my addition of heavy cream and sweetener, it’s still a very low-carb treat.
Davidson teas are organic and caffeine free herbal blends that you can enjoy in as little as 5 minutes.

I’ll admit, I didn’t have a clue what rooibos is, so I looked it up. It’s more or less just another plant used for teas, so nothing hinky there. The barley is a common Asian tea that is said to be a natural antacid. Served hot, people claim it does a wonderful job of temporarily soothing cold symptoms. I can’t personally attest to the validity of either claim, but you can bet next time I need an antacid or have a cold I’m going to give it a try. Thankfully, my low-carb lifestyle has improved my immune system so much that I rarely deal with either malady. I’m certainly content to drink these teas for pleasure and give them a full 5 stars. I suddenly seem to be a hot tea fan. Thank you Davidson’s!
