2012 Low Carb Meet & Greet Set For Saturday, July 7th!

Want to meet me, Andrew, & Amy? Hang out in my back yard?  Meet a bunch of other cool low carbers?  Catch a little sun?  Relax at a cookout, knowing that all the food is low carb friendly?  (Because I cooked it!)   Come to the Low Carb Meet & Greet,  Saturday, July 7th, from 1-5 pm.

This will be the third annual Meet & Greet, and the previous two have been a ton of fun.  We hope you can make it!

I live in Bloomington, Indiana, which makes this easier for you Midwestern low carbers.  Bloomington is an hour and fifteen minutes south of Indianapolis, about five hours south of Chicago, 2 1/2-3 hours west of Cincinnati, 90 minutes north of Louisville, and maybe 5 hours east of St. Louis.  I don’t want to post my address here, so if you’d like to come, email me at mailto:[email protected], and I’ll give you the low down.

Because this is in my backyard, there’s a limit to how many people we can fit.  We’re capping it at fifty; first come, first served.  So if you want to come, email me!

As we did last year, we’re asking a $5/head donation to defray costs.

Hope to see you there!

Eat It Again! How Repetition Rewires Your Taste – CarbSmart Podcast Episode 27

Every taste is an acquired taste. If you’ve just recently gone low-carb, say as a New Year’s resolution, you may be overwhelmed by the sheer difference from your old diet. I encourage you to do so rather than using low-carb breads and such to make your low-carb diet resemble your old diet. Those can be useful. Bridge foods helping you to find a new normal, but not only are they, yes, processed foods often overpriced and sometimes deceptively labeled.
