Tammy:
We are not the manufacturers of the Fla-Vor-Ice products and do not know where they are locally to you.
You can find them at Amazon.com.
You can find them for .99 cents a box of 16 at Walgreen’s.
Not in 2015 you can’t. That was years ago.
Using Splenda is a travesty to your health. All these fake sugars show themselves to be harmful to the body’s organs, and are carcinogenic. This product is dangerous to health and should be banned!
Citation? I have read the FDA test papers on sucralose, the sweetener in Splenda, and can tell you that it is true that sucralose caused thymus shrinkage and kidney swelling in rats — at doses that were the equivalent of something like 15,000 teaspoons of Splenda per day for a 150 pound human being. At doses the equivalent of 8000 teaspoons per day it did not happen. No mention of cancer, but then cancer takes a long time to develop.
It should also be noted that since cancer feeds on glucose, and uses fructose to replicate, there is little case to be made that sucralose presents as great a cancer risk as table sugar. It should also be noted that 15,000 teaspoons per day of sugar would be pretty damned deadly.
I have long recommended that people minimize their intake of sweets, and in particular I myself drink no sweetened beverages, the largest source of sweeteners, nutritive and non-nutritive, in the American diet. But the first rule of toxicology is “dose is everything.” I know of no research indicating that small quantities of sucralose are dangerous. I use a little, largely in sauces, marinades, and the like — and can tell you that after 17 years of using sucralose — I used to order Splenda from Canada before it was approved in the US — I have shown no signs of harm. My recent blood work indicates that I’m in terrific good health.
Still, if you have a med journal article or something of the like I’d be interested to see it.
Splenda adds a few carbs to make it fluffy… maltodextrin or something like that. Which is basically corn sugar. Straight Sucralose is good tho.
Please make this product with Stevia. I’m really disappointed that I have to quit using it for now.
Where can I buy locally (phoenix, arizona)? thankyou
We are not the manufacturer and do not know where you can find them locally but you can follow the link above to buy them online.
That link don’t work no more. I read that they were 1 carb not 4 so that’s why I wanted them. Wow. This thread is old but ranks on search engines when you look for this product. I guess the product is. It even made now. I plan to make my own popcicles with Mio drink mixes and an emulsifier like xanthum gum. Mio is straigh Sucralose. Or maybe I’ll use my monk fruit drops with koolaid powder
